Henlow Church of England Academy

Henlow Church of England Academy is an extended Secondary school currently serving children aged 9 - 13. The school was established in 1976, and officially opened by Lord Runcie, then Bishop of St. Albans, in May 1977. The School converted to Academy status on 1st April 2012

The School is approached by a fine drive and stands in parkland which was once part of Henlow Grange.

The purpose-built accommodation has been greatly improved and extended over recent years and now boasts 6 science laboratories, a four court sports hall and drama studio/theatre. More works are planned to provide brand new food technology, textiles, graphics and ICT rooms.

Outside, the School is well provided for with ta state of the art flood lit MUGA, an extensive playing field and with the recent addition of an outdoor amphitheatre.
